CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY POLICY
This corporate responsibility policy applies to all operations carried out at CCL. It also defines how internal and external relations are expected between its employees and between them and their customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
The corporate responsibility of CCL is based on compliance to fulfil with legal requirements and other values, and on proactivity through initiatives to promote human rights, contribute to society and protect the environment.
With these perspectives in mind, CCL undertakes to:
- Comply with and respect the laws; honour its internal policies; ensure that all business operations are legitimate; keep all commercial or collaborative partnerships open and transparent; ensure safe and fair negotiations; develop sustainable business and ideas; respect the customer; comply with anti-bribery and anti-corruption practices, and put the Ten Principles of the United Nations for corporate citizenship into practice;
- Protect the environment by implementing the best environmental practices such as recycling, selective waste collection, water and energy saving, and by encouraging the development and the diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies to reduce the carbon footprint;
- Protect people and respect human rights; guarantee health and safety conditions for its employees and society; develop local partnerships; support diversity and inclusion; ensure gender equality; make sure that its activities do not directly or indirectly violate human rights in any country (e.g.: forced or child labour);
- Help institutions of social solidarity and other social causes whenever possible; support and invest in education programmes;
Support its Research and Development (R&D), valuing the ideas of its employees in order to improve and maximise the potential of the organisation.
CCL develops its activities in accordance with other policies that define its commitment to quality, environment and innovation, as well as a code of conduct for employees, namely through the prevention and combat against harassment and corruption at work. In order to support its employees, Celoplás provides employee handbooks that are aligned with strategic vectors and objectives.
The Corporate Responsibility Policy is internally communicated to its employees. The communication to other stakeholders in the value chain is made on a case-by-case basis.
QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT INTEGRATED POLICY
In a highly technical and competitive market, our main objective is to continuously improve the quality of the technology, products and services, as well the deliveries and costs to the customer, assuming a commitment to a Zero Defects policy.
Preserve the environment, by continuously improving the processes that generate environmental impacts, as well as rationalizing the consumption of natural resources, such as water, electricity and paper.
Identify the hazards and environmental aspects, assess and manage the risks inherent to our activities, products and services, in order to prevent and minimize environmental impacts and the accidents occurrence.
Provide high quality products and services, respecting the environmental standards, valuing the human resources, in accordance with applicable legal regulatory requirements, and others.
Meet customers’ needs and expectations, society and other interested parties, promoting the continuous improvement of the integrated management system, ensuring permanent assessment and improvement of results.
Develop and train our human resources, by promoting an efficient and environmentally responsible performance that preserves the health and safety of the employees.
Establish a transparent communication with the suppliers, society, customers and entities related to the company’s activity.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Since 2022 CCL is also certified by IATF 16949 standard.
CCL has a Quality Department that ensures compliance with this standard. It also has access to the laboratories of metrology and materials of the parent company Celoplás.
